If you can't figure out how to download and install a compiler then, with all due respect, programming is NOT for you!Have a nice day.

Install virtualbox first.. and then install Windows XP in it.Once Virtualbox is up and running with XP, you can then install C, C++ or whatever you want and enjoy everything in a virtual environment.. without risking your OS.(I you r a layman, make sure you don't boot ur PC with XP or else you'd even lose Win 7).

1.) Get yourself a compiler, such as Microsoft Visual C++ or Code::Blocks  2.) Write your code in the IDE and compile it.3.) ProfitLearning C++ (Articles) CProgramming LearnCPP CPlusPlus Learning C++ (Videos) YouTube - antiRTFM YouTube - xoaxdotnet Learning C++ (Books) C++ Without Fear (Brian Overland) Practical C++ Programming (Steve Qualline)I advice you determine whether you want to learn C or C++ first. Although many will argue the differences are only subtle, I advice you to learn C++ which practices better, more modern programming techniques. My friend, John Runchey is an excellent teacher for the C programming language if you decide to go that route instead.Good luck!
