Somehow or another I'm doing that, I think.. I'm using Firefox with the " Feeds Sidebar " extension installed. Once logged in to my Gmail account, I clicked on the little orange RSS feeds icon at the end, right side, of the address bar, and subscribed to the RSS feed (placed on my bookmarks toolbar..Now I just check my email from the feeds sidebar.. you can read the email content without opening gmail.. (provided you've logged in at the beginning of your browsing session of course..

Hey there,GMail does not provide an RSS feed for your eMails. But you can forward your eMails to a service that will let you read it via RSS. Check the answers to this question:http://www.makeuseof.com/answers/email-rss-service-delivers-full-text/
