It is compatible, but cannot use it as alone AV. The updates of Rising PC Doctor is a bit slow, I swithced to Kingsoft PC Doctor currently. Yet another good AV companion.

No, never use multiple anti-viruses at the same time. Contrary to popular belief, using more than one anti-virus will not increase your security, it is much more likely to cripple performance. It does look like a competent anti-virus though.

Don't get me wrong ~ I'm sure Rising develops decent software.  However I wouldn't really put my computers security into the hands of a company that advertises their average ratings (e.g. the OPSWAT Bronze) when there are tons of other free alternative scoring Silver or even GOLD [without making a huge deal out of it.]

Hello, Rising PC doctor is made by a Chinese company.  It works somehow with windows 7 and only runs on x86 bit systems.  As a side note, their site does not show as compatible with windows 7. As you may know, it is not recommended to have more than one antivirus installed in your computer.  The same applies for firewalls.  With malware scanners, as long as they do not have an always on scanner, it should be ok.The following link shows the virus bulletin 100 (VB100) summary.  According to the results shown, Rising pass the certification for Windows Vista SP2 x64 Business Edition.http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/archive/summaryThis link shows results for Rising:http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/archive/vendor?id=57

i used Rising PC Doctor in early stage because i had a good experience with rising antivirus like 4 years ago, but removed Rising PC Doctor later on, i think there should be no problem with Microsoft Security Essentials.
