Downloaded the update and ran a scan which immediately found 3 infected hidden extension Java files. It didn't remove them and wouldn't give me the opportunity to do so - the remove button remained unavailable - so I used Revo to rid my PC of Java and the files remain. I can't get at them. If they're attached to Chrome would uninstalling and reinstalling do it?

The files you are looking for are hidden, press the alt key once inside Computer, a bar pops up, go to tools, folder options, near top, click on show hidden files, folders, and drives, then click OK.

Hi. If you state that the files are hidden you can try the following.Click My Computer/C: Drive/ on the top right click on Organize/ scroll down to Folder and Search Options/ a new window will open click on View/ then on Show Hidden Files and Folders click Apply and close. On the C: Drive click Users/Your Name/AppData/Local delete anything with Jave/Sun on it you can also search LocalLow and Roaming as well. These folders should always be searched also when deleting Programs and Apps. When you have finished go back to Folder and Search Options and check Do not show Hidden Files and Folders. Hope this helps.

You might also want to try a virus-scanning rescue cd that you can boot from. Examples are AVG and Kaspersky.

Try logging in with safe mode, and navigate to the folder where those files are, and delete them...

Tried looking for the files, but they appear to be hidden somehow.
