I plucked my important USB into the compute. It said that the USB was corrupted and that it needed to be formatted.
I went to the command prompt and done this: Chkdsk g: /r.
All my files were listed and I felt so much better. But when it had completed I went to the G:Drive and my most important files were missing.
PLEASE help me recover these files. I know they are there somewhere as I downloaded software that recovers files and they were listed in there, but could not recover as I have no money to buy the program and I need the file by 5pm tomorrow. :(

Hi Wait,Try using a Linux Live CD. Boot from the CD and see if Linux will recognize the USB. If so, back it up ASAP.
