The legit copy of Windows 7 that I had to re-install is continuously telling me that it is not genuine, won't show my wallpaper, etc. Can you recommend a solution? Thanks.

If you activate windows with a legitimate key, you shouldn't get these messages. Make sure that you're only using the key on the number of systems specified on the case and no more.
