For the past few days I have been facing problems with the Mozilla browser. When I try to open a new tab, it is automatically redirected to an unknown search engine site. Can anybody help me in fixing up this problem?

Hello, you could also check the proxy settings for your browser.  Usually, when you are getting redirected links, it is because of malware.  To check/change your settings using mozilla follow the following steps:-- Start your browser-- on menu, click on Tools-- click on options,-- click on the advance Tab-- click on the network tab-- under the connection heading, select settings-- make sure no proxy is marked-- click ok and okIt is very important that you check your system for viruses/malware.   Once your system is clean you could install the following software:http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Can you provide us with a link to the search query? It sounds to me like you have an add-on tampering with the NewTab function. Go through your add-ons and remove the ones you don't need.Alternatively you may install ANOTHER add-on called "NewTabURL"https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2221No matter which option you chose, you should always remove add-ons of which you don't know it's origin or no longer use its functionality.

Sumit, this sounds like you have malware on your computer. Are you always re-directed to the same page? Can you please share the URL?Is this also happening with other browsers? What operating system and version are you using? Assuming you have Windows, I recommend that you install and run the following:- Microsoft Security Essentials - Malwarebytes (free version)

Also check what browser addons you have installed. Remove anything that you don't use.You may also want to check the list of installed programs and see if there are any unknown programs therethat were installed recently.
