After an installation, I lost half of my memory in disk D. I looked in disk management, but there is nothing.
How can I recover all of my free space in D when it's gone and is not in C? I don't undestand what happened! I'm with Windows 7.

seems strange but not unusual .heres what you can try ....>First of all , run a Defragmenter Tool . Avoid the Default Windows tool , you can use Auslogics (http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/disk-defrag/)or if you are an advanced user and willing to pay for a software , try Ultimate Defrag or Perfect Disk Pro . you can also go for there Trial Versions . just use it during the trial and then uninstall . >Run a system cleaner utility . Run the default windows system cleaner and then run the CCleaner (http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER)>Now run the CCleaner again . and go to the section where it says Utilities , and under utilities go to section System Restore .now see , how many system restore points are there . if too many , they might also be eating up the disk space .delete the unnecessary and keep only which you want .>restart and see if some thing worked .>try running a disk analyser and see for what all is going in the disk esp pertaining to segments and sectors . you can use this tool -- EAseus Partition Master . just download the Home Free Version (http://www.partition-tool.com/easeus-partition-manager/features.htm)>as a last resort , run the Gparted Live utility .its one the most powerful and efficient Disk Partition Editors .you will find all the instructions and guide on creating a Live USB or CD and how to use .here -- http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.phpGpart FAQs-- http://gparted.sourceforge.net/faq.phphope it helps ...
