Windows update of SP1 for my Windows 7 Home Premiumx64 failed to configure properly during the re-boot at installation. I quickly noticed 5GBs of free space missing from my hard drive.Where is all that garbage and how do I get my space back?

I would be more concerned about why the Service Pack installation failed but that's just my opinion...The
missing
space should be utilized by a System Restore Point and the Service Pack Backup Files of the SP1.1. right-click your drive where Windows is installed and select Properties2. select
Disk Cleanup...
3. click on
Clean up system files
4. go to the
More Options
tab5. click the
Clean up
button at
System Restore and Shadow Copies
6. follow the instruction and delete them7. go back to the
Disk Cleanup
8. select
Service Pack Backup Files
9. click on
ok
to proceed with the cleanup

Mike, When I go back to the Disk Cleanup(#7),there is no "Service Pack Backup Files" item.
