Hey, everyone, hope you can help me out

So, for several uses and purposes I want a software which can let me organize several items (pieces of data) into folders and labels... For instance, I want a software to manage my bookmarks in a similar way as Delicious do... You know, you enter an item (in this case, the bookmark), add some description, and some tags... And a search engine which will display all the items with specific tags...

So I've been searching for two days... I guess I need a DataBase or a Cataloging software... But most software fail on doing what I want...

I want one panel were I can create folders and subfolders, and add items to them... Each item with description and tag... And a search panel to find the desired item... NOTHING ELSE

Traditional DataBases (or spreadsheets) have two problems... Searching for tags is usually more difficult... And items can't be saved on folders and subfolders (wereas you can use a column for this purpose, but it isn't the same).

So, according to my simple needs, the only tool I've found is TreeDBNotes... it does have a panel for folders, and a great search engine for tags... BUT the software is designed for notetaking... and it has THOUSANDS of options which i don't need

Anyway... I'll keep searching, but I've got to ask the experts, and see if anyone has any suggestion... Hope you do!

Thanks!

I really really really can't believe I haven't found anything as simple as the software I'm searching for... Just two screens... Just adding simple items, and tags to it... D:thanks for your help, anyway :)

Mm Evernote... Perhaps... I use OneNote, and I'm really happy with it, but i've heard Evernote can manage Tags, and any kind of information... But can it separate items (information) on folders and subfolders? Guess i will check it out, eventhough Evernote has SEVERAL other features as well...And your recommendations seem to be good, i will check them out...

Hello, you could try Elyse.  It organizes files and folders virtually.  It provides a search engine for tags....http://silkwoodsoftware.com/elyse.htmlNexusFile is another possibility...I do not think it uses tags though:http://xiles.net/nexusfile/Divifile:http://www.qnomad.com/divifile/

Hey, thanks for your suggestions... the first two are more like file managers, right? And the third is a file manager + notes and bookmarks manager, I think i will give that one a shot, as my need is not exactly to manage files...The only problem is that Divfilie doesn't actually uses Tags, but Folders called Topics... Anyway, I'll use it and see how it does THANKS!
