Any way to receive free SMS alert every time there's a new comment on my site? Please let me know. I am using WordPress, if that helps.

There's no built in way to do this, and no plugin that I know of. It's possible, though. WordPress comes with built in RSS feeds for just about everything. Check out this list:http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_FeedsThere is even an RSS feed for every comments on your site; it looks like this:http://example.com/comments/feed/Obviously replace "example.com" with your site.My advice: get an account at ifttt.com; it's a service built for automating things like this. Create a new task. Have the "If this" be a new entry in the comments RSS feed and the "then that" be you getting an SMS. That's it!

The comments/feed/ URL only lists approved comments, not the pending ones. And there's no point in receiving SMS for approved comments.Alex' solution seems to work though. I tried it. There's a plugin for making RSS feed for pending comments, and we can use that with ifttt.com as you said.

Not sure why I didn't think of the approved thing, but I'm glad you found some viable options.

Here's one guide for Wordpress sites, you can follow it if your site uses Wordpress. I have tested it and it does seem to work. It makes the use of IFTTT recipe and a particular Wordpress plugin. And since IFTTT is in it's beta stage right now, you can receive SMS for free!http://www.thelacunablog.com/2012/08/receive-sms-everytime-comments-wordpress-site/

I think that the best way to that is CCleaner

Isn't CCleaner meant for cleaning cache etc of computer? That's not what I am asking for.

Text-messaging feature for wordpress has been discontinued (first link that you gave). So I guess your only hope is to use plugins from 3rd-party.

There is two ways that i have in mind:1. Pay to someone to make you a script, or plugin and integrate it to your blog2. In my country if someone send me email on mynumber@provider.com I will receive it like a sms. So if your provider have this options (I am sure on there site will be listed as service... maybe called email2sms) you can enter in this email address in wordpress settings for notification of new comments. The second way is not very good, because the mail have too many info in the header and you will not receive the main text of the comment. Also there is some free plugins in Wordpress plugin directory but as I can see they are not world wide. But if you want, search for "sms comment notification" in wordpress plugin directory or google for more results.Another thing - there is a WordPress app in Android market (maybe and in iPhone market) where you can administrate your wordpress blog and see all comments and approve them.
