Day one of CES 2021 has passed and day two reveals a veritable bounty of new devices, one being Razer's gaming laptop offerings.

The Razer Blade 17 Gaming Laptop

Razer has hit the ground running at CES 2021, not just updating its Blade 15 laptops with some mouthwatering specs, but giving its Blade 17 range a bit more beef, too.

Razer already has several gaming laptops in the 17 series, but these 2021 models come with a host of updates, cementing Razer's position as a market leader in PC gaming.

We've got six rejuvenated laptop models, all with improved displays, memory options, processing power, and graphics. Here's what each variation looks like on paper.

You're most likely to be picking up on those graphics cards, first. Despite the somewhat vague terminology used here, we can actually confirm what models Razer is putting in its machines.

The "Next Gen 60-Class" refers to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card. "70-Class" is therefore the RTX 3070, and "80-Class" is (yep, you guessed it) the RTX 3080.

The Pro 17 series currently uses a GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q in terms of its 80-class models, so you're truly getting next-gen gaming, here. Imagine all that mind-blowing ray tracing goodness.

The cheapest model features a 165 Hz QHD display, while some models boast 360 Hz FHD screens. The most expensive model, which retails at $3,599, carries an eye-watering 4K UHD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and touch screen.

You'll notice that Razer has juiced up its Pro 17 processing power as well. The current Pro 17 models have a 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H 6 Core (2.6GHz/4.5GHz).

Razers next-gen gaming laptops come with a 2.3GHz 8-core Intel i7-10875H processor, capable of Turbo Boost up to 5.1GHz, with 16MB of cache.

The new Razer Blade Pro 17 will be available for pre-order exclusively from Razer's website and Razer Store locations on January 12 and for purchase from select retailers in Q1 2021.

Razer's Next-Gen Gaming Laptops Are Coming Soon

Given that we have the PS5 and the Xbox Series X, it makes sense for Razer to be on the ball when it comes to next-gen PC gaming. The new Blade 15 and 17 laptops are proof, if we needed any, that Razer is at the head of its game.

Raja Koduri called this the "GPU golden age" and, judging from what Razer is doing with its laptops, we think it is safe to call this the "gaming laptop golden age", too.

With gaming tech advancing at a rate of knots, and more developers creating games designed with and for next gen hardware, the gaming landscape right now is arguably more exciting than it has ever been.
