CES 2021 is underway and Razer has announced a swathe of upgrades to the existing Razer 15 range of gaming laptops.

The Razer Blade 15 Gaming Laptop - Base Model

Razer is back for CES 2021 and with it comes the first in its new laptop upgrades; the Razer Blade 15, which joins the Blade 17 Pro at this year's virtual event.

Razer launched the 120 Hz base model back in December 2020. Now we have an improved range of devices to power your play, with three upgraded additions to the Blade 15 base range.

The base gaming laptop from Razer comes in a total of four separate flavors, so lets take a look at what each one offers.

Razer Blade 15 Base Model Specs

So, in terms of retail price we have a difference of $700 between the bottom and top spec Blade 15 Base models.

Aside from that, the differences aren't altogether huge. Sure, the least expensive model might only pack 256GB storage, but you have an open M2 slot there to experiment with.

The second major variation you'll notice is with the graphics cards. The least expensive model is carrying an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. The remaining graphics cards are next-gen 60 and 70-class Nvidia GeForce RTX models.

The 60-class is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU (6 GB GDDR6 VRAM, Optimus Technology). The 70-class is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU (8 GB GDDR6 VRAM, Optimus Technology).

You'll also notice the specs of the display change dramatically as you move through the price points.

The $1,499 model has a full HD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Up at the top end of the Razer 15 base model range, the $2,199 laptop has a QHD display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. Plenty to choose from here.

It is worth noting that the Razer Chroma RGB keyboard can actually sync up with lights elsewhere in your game den, such as the new Yeelight range, also announced at CES 2021.

Razer prices the Blade 15 base models featuring next-gen graphics from $1,699. You can pre-order from January 12th, 2021 at the Razer store.

That's not all, though. Wait until you see the specs for the Advanced Model...

The Razer Blade 15 Gaming Laptop - Advanced Model

You didn't expect Razer to stop there, surely? Nope. You've got another five laptops in the Razer Blade 15 range, with souped-up Blade 15 Advanced laptops due for shipping in February.

As you might expect, these are premium gaming laptops and, as a result, they come with a premium price tag. But, as they say, you get what you pay for and in terms of the Advanced Blade 15 range, you really do. Here are the specs.

As with the improved additions to the Blade 15 base range, here we have upgrades to the display and graphics.

The 70-class graphics cards all match that of the top-spec Base model. You're essentially paying more for that display upgrade.

In terms of the 80-class cards you've got an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU (8 GB GDDR6 VRAM, Optimus tech) or, at the very top end, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU (16 GB GDDR6 VRAM, Optimus tech).

All-New Razer Blade 15 Models at CES 2021

So there you have it. Razer once again proves that it is a market leader in PC gaming, delivering ready-made gaming laptops that continue to impress in terms of specs.

Gamers, you have to admit, you've never had it so good. Sure, 2020s events interrupted supply chains and caused supply shortages across a wide range of gaming platforms. However, next-gen has arrived, and it is very much here to stay.
