Text-to-speech is gaining popularity as technology strives to become more accessible and reach a wider audience. Not so long ago, text-to-speech was not readily available, and the software that did exist had many flaws. However, AI is rapidly advancing; all it takes is a few clicks and a few minutes of your time.

Still not convinced? Keep reading, and we'll show you how easy it is to use the text-to-speech feature in Podcastle, step by step.

Step 4: Choose a Voice Type

Click the letter icon next to your speech, and you will be given a list of different names. The default speaker is Kylie, but you can change this to anyone.

If you want to hear the speaker's voice before choosing them, hover your cursor over the letter icon and the letter will change to a play button. Click the button to hear the person's voice, and once you're happy with the sound, click the name to choose your speaker.

Step 5: Generate Your Speech

Once you're done writing out your text and choosing a speaker, click Generate near the bottom of the Text Editor box and watch as your text turns into audio. If you want to listen to the audio to make sure you're satisfied, you can click the play button in the bottom center of the screen; you can also pause, rewind, or fast-forward the audio.

If you're happy with the way it sounds, click Export in the top right corner of the screen to save the audio as an mp3 file. You can also enable the option to download the transcript with the audio.

Additionally, if you want to download the generated speech in text format, you can also click the other Export button (at the bottom of the screen, next to Generate), and choose between a PDF and Docx file.
