Brave might not be as popular a browser as Chrome or Firefox, but it sure does have many great browsing features. Brave has added a cool new feature to its browser that allows you to save media content from the web to custom playlists.
Brave Gets a Media Playlist Option
On its iOS App Store page, Brave mentions that it has added a new feature called Playlist to its browser. Using this feature, you can save media items like music tracks and videos to a separate playlist in the browser itself. This playlist is different from the traditional bookmarks bar.
Once you've added items to your playlist, you can access them anytime and anywhere you want.
How Playlist in Brave for iOS Works
You can add pretty much any media content you like to Brave's new Playlist feature. Then simply access your playlist to view all your saved items.
Here's what this new feature offers to Brave users:
Offline Access
Your saved content in Brave is available offline, too. You don't need to be connected to the internet to access your saved music tracks, videos or podcasts. These all items will play just fine even without the internet.
Ease of Use
You don't need to install anything extra to be able to use Brave's new Playlist feature.
To add a video or a music track to your playlist, you just need to tap the Add to Brave Playlist option while streaming the content. The content will be added to your playlist.
Support for Nearly All Platforms
You can add content from nearly all media sites out there to your Brave playlist. This includes Twitch, Vimeo, YouTube, SoundCloud, and more.
Listen in the Background
A good thing about this feature is that you can play your saved content in your device's background.
This means you can use other apps while still streaming content from Brave. Your content won't be interrupted and it'll continue to play regardless of what apps you switch to.
How to Get Brave's New Playlist Feature
This playlist feature is currently only available on iOS devices running iOS 13 or later. If you're on an older version of iOS, you need to update your version by heading into Settings > General > Software Update.
