Reports suggest that Google is set to launch its next mid-range Pixel smartphone, the Pixel 5a, on June 11, 2021.

The Pixel 5a Will be Similar to the Pixel 4a 5G

According to serial leaker Jon Prosser, Google is scheduled to launch the Pixel 5a on June 11. He also claims that Google will launch new Pixel Buds in mid-April.

Google announced the Pixel 4a on August 3, 2020, so it is due for its annual refresh.

The Pixel 5a had leaked in renders just last month, and it is seemingly going to look a lot like the Pixel 4a 5G from last year. The renders were posted on Voice.com by Steve Hemmerstoffer, known in the tech community for leaking accurate CAD renders of upcoming devices.

The leaked renders indicate the Pixel 5a will look similar to the Pixel 4a 5G. It will reportedly feature a 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED display with minimal bezels surrounding it, though the bottom chin will be relatively large.

The display will have a punch-hole on the top left corner to house a selfie camera. The rear of the device will house a dual-camera setup that should again be similar to what we saw on the Pixel 5 last year.

Other leaked features of the Pixel 5a point to it coming with stereo speakers, a 3.5mm jack, and a rear fingerprint scanner.

Another Affordable Offering from Google

While there's no word yet on price, the Pixel 5a should replace the Pixel 4a in Google's Pixel lineup and carry a price tag similar to it. The device should also support 5G unlike the regular Pixel 4a, which only supports 4G networks.
