The Photography Show & The Video Show is one of the world's biggest and most popular photography events. It's typically held annually at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, England. The pandemic, however, forced the event to go entirely virtual in September 2020.

Despite that, The Photography Show still managed to bring in 12,000 people (according to a 10times estimate), and it's following up that success with another online event.

Spring Shoots: The Photo & Video Festival You Don't Want to Miss

The Photography Show & The Video Show has announced that its new online event, Spring Shoots, is now open for registration on its official website.

"Whether you're a complete beginner, a recent graduate or a seasoned professional, there's something for everyone to take the next step on their creative journey," the home page reads.

This March 6-7, you could see product demos, masterclasses, and tutorials brought to you by the world's biggest photography companies. It is free to register, though note that some special sessions require a nominal fee.

Canon has announced that it will conduct a class on how to master the Canon EOS R5 and R6 cameras for all kinds of photography. It will be hosted by Canon UK product specialist David Parry.

There are over 60 sponsors and exhibitors taking part in Spring Shoots. On that list is Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Fujifilm, and Affinity Photo amongst others. A handful of big names—individuals—in the photography industry have confirmed their attendance as well.

British fashion photographer John Rankin Waddell will host a talk about his 2020 NHS portrait series, while Smartphone video producer Caroline Scott will have picture-taking tips for those who prefer to snap shots with their phone. Commercial photographers Joel Meyerowitz and Tommy Reynolds will also host their own respective discussions.

Spring Shoots will also host the first online edition of the Pro Conference for professional photographers and videographers. The conference will touch upon core business skills and how to diversify your services.

Trusted companies will be selling all sorts of equipment at the festival—cameras, lenses, studio lights, and storage bags to name a few.
