I've got an Asus P8B75-M motherboard with an Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 1GB ATI Radeon DDR3 graphics card and a Coolermaster 500w PSU. Can you tell me if these specifications are suitable for installing Mac OS X?

I would think so. The core I3 is a quite capable CPU.

You can make your PC LOOK like the Mac OS X layout, but I'm not sure about it actually running it.

OS X only comes with kernel extensions for selected graphics card models so "1GB ATI Radeon" is not enough to make any judgement in that regardIn general there is no guarantee things will work. Even if you have the exact same specifications as someone else running a hackintosh something like a different GPU or motherboard firmware or just a different method of "hacking" OS X can make it or brake it.The best source for information and help probably is the OSx86 site.http://www.osx86project.org

First of all you will not be able to experience Mac OS X fully without apple hardware. But if you still want to then run it on a virtual box.Because sometimes apple just does not work.If you want to run it on your system like "windows way" you should know what you really are doing.Sometimes things just mess up. There are many people who are trying to prove you really don;t need an apple hardware to run Mac OS.You could try tonymacx86 blog or http://www.sysprobs.com/install-mac-snow-leopard-1063-oracle-virtualbox-32-apple-intel-pc.Good Luck!
