Alongside the OnePlus 9 series, OnePlus will announce its first smartwatch (the OnePlus Watch) at its March 23 event. Spoiling the official unveiling, a leak has detailed most of the key features and specs of the smartwatch.

The highlight of the OnePlus Watch will be Warp Charge support. This will allow the smartwatch to last for a week after being charged for just 20 minutes.

Various Sensors for Health Tracking

According to tipster Ishan Agarwal via PriceBaba, the OnePlus Watch will feature a 46mm circular dial size and IP68 certification, making it dust and water-resistant. There is no word on a smaller dial size. It will be available in Silver and Black finishes.

Like most other smartwatches and wearables out there, the OnePlus Watch will feature an array of sensors for health monitoring. This includes continuous heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, SpO2 sensor for checking blood saturation levels, sleep tracking, stress level monitoring, and more.

The watch will also feature automatic workout detection, so you won't have to record your workouts manually. It will also have various modes to detect different workout types.

All other basic smartwatch functionality, like the ability to check on your notifications, accept/reject calls, music playback controls, will also be there on the OnePlus Watch.

While there's no mention of the chip powering the OnePlus Watch, it will feature 4GB of onboard storage. The smartwatch will also act as a remote for OnePlus TVs allowing you to control them right from your wrist.

A Full Week of Battery Life in Just 20 Mins

The highlight of the OnePlus Watch is going to be its charging time and battery life. The leak claims the OnePlus Watch will feature Warp Charge, which will be good enough to provide a week of battery life after just 20 minutes of charging.

OnePlus devices are known for their fast charging speeds, and OnePlus is clearly looking to continue that trend with its upcoming smartwatch. However, the battery life claims point to the OnePlus Watch not running Wear OS. The platform has not matured enough to offer wearables with such long battery life.

This suggests that the OnePlus Watch will run a custom OS developed by the company. Since there will be no Wear OS, the OnePlus Watch will not have access to the Play Store. The custom OS also means that the OnePlus Watch might not support third-party apps.

OnePlus is scheduled to unveil the OnePlus 9 series and OnePlus Watch on March 23.
