The OnePlus 10 Pro is official, the company's flagship phone for 2022. Like its predecessor, the OnePlus 10 Pro sits right at the top of the Android market with other premium devices, thanks to its high-end features. However, not everything offered is anything to be excited about.

If you're considering snagging a unit of the OnePlus 10 Pro, you should know its strong points. With that in mind, here are the five best features of the OnePlus 10 Pro.

1. Premium Design and Build Quality

Although the OnePlus 10 Pro doesn't feature a radically new design, the subtle changes made by the company are good enough to make the device stand out. OnePlus majorly tweaked the rear camera bump design and left nearly everything else as is. The OnePlus 10 Pro features a relatively larger square bump that blends into the edge.

Some could argue that the camera bump gives some Galaxy S21 Ultra vibes, and they won't be entirely wrong. However, OnePlus does it uniquely, making it stand out from other smartphones.

As you'd expect from a premium device, the OnePlus 10 Pro is covered in glass, both on the front and back, with a matte frosted finish. The front has Gorilla Glass Victus, the latest iteration of Corning's protection glass that promises more resistance to both scratches and drops.

OnePlus 10 Pro has slim bezels and slightly curved edges. The device sells in two primary colors, volcanic black and emerald forest.

2. Bright, High Refresh Rate Display

The OnePlus 10 Pro boasts a 6.7-inch QHD (1440 x 3216 pixels) AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel uses LTPO 2.0 technology which promises more smoothness. The display does vary the refresh rate dynamically between 120Hz and 1Hz, which comes in handy to save battery life when performing tasks that don't require higher rates.

The panel also includes support for HDR10+ and an Always-on display. In terms of brightness, you get 500 nits typical brightness, but it tops out at 1300 nits.

OnePlus is also touting a dual-tone calibration that the company says should improve color accuracy at high and low brightness levels.

3. Large Sensor Camera

OnePlus has maintained its partnership with Swedish lens specialist Hasselblad. That partnership helped the company bump its camera performance in its 2021 flagship relative to previous generations, as indicated in our OnePlus 9 Pro review.

The OnePlus 10 Pro packs a triple camera setup on the rear. The setup includes a 1/1.43" f/1.8 48MP main lens with laser autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS).

There's also an 8MP telephoto lens with 3.3x optical zoom and a 50 MP, f/2.2 ultrawide lens with a 150-degree field of view. The rear camera setup can shoot up to 8K video but only at 24fps. For higher fps, shoot in 4K as it supports 30, 60, and 120 fps.

The front camera is a 32MP wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture that tops out at 1080p video. Besides the camera specifications, the OnePlus 10 Pro includes a second iteration of the so-called Hasselblad Pro Mode that gives you more control when shooting images.

4. Bigger Battery and Fast Charging Support

A 5000mAh battery powers the OnePlus 10 Pro. Perhaps this should increase screen time, at least on paper. And not only did OnePlus increase the battery capacity but also bumped the charging speeds to 80W.

That makes the OnePlus 10 Pro one of the fastest charging devices on the market in 2022. Although the Chinese smartphone maker hasn't officially specified how long it should take to fill the massive battery with an 80W charging brick, it surely can't disappoint.

The device also supports wireless charging, but only at a maximum rating of 50W, or about 38 percent slower than using a cable. The OnePlus 10 Pro has reverse wireless charging, which means you can use the phone to charge other devices like your wireless earbuds.

5. Qualcomm's Flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Processor

To make it compete with other flagship devices, the OnePlus 10 Pro is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It's a 4nm octa-core processor that will power most Android flagship devices in 2022. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is paired with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Should You Buy the OnePlus 10 Pro?

Before making a purchase decision, it's often advisable to do some background checks. Sure, the OnePlus 10 Pro features top-of-the-line specifications, but before jumping on the early adopter bandwagon, it's always good to consider a product against its alternatives.
