Ever taken a screenshot on your Switch that was so good you wished you could print it out there and then? Boy, is today your lucky day, because Nintendo and Fujifilm have bumped heads to develop (pun intended) a cool portable mini printer for the Switch!

The capture feature is one of Nintendo Switch's fun tools. Like with other consoles, such as PS5, the Switch has a dedicated capture button, which allows you to take screenshots of whatever you're doing or playing on your console (apart from the Nintendo eShop).

Well, now you can print your captures, too, a Fujifilm announcement confirms. Fujifilm released the Instax Mini Link back in 2019. Now, though, it has added a new mobile app and Switch compatibility to the ecosystem, with a cute Pikachu silicone cover and Mario colorway to make things a bit more "Nintendo-y".

The app is due for release on April 30th alongside the new Nintendo-themed version of the Instax Mini Link printer. The printer will retail at $100, and if you want the limited edition Pikachu case, you're looking at $120.

How Does the Nintendo Switch Printer Work?

We already know that you can share images from your Switch to other devices, including your mobile phone. The new Fujifilm Instax Mini Link printer makes use of the image sharing function to transfer your captures from your Switch to your mobile phone.

It shares the images directly to the brand new Instax Mini Link for Nintendo Switch app, where you can change it up with filters, crop it, and then print it on a pocket sized photo you can keep forever.

You can even import selfies into the app and then add Nintendo-themed stickers and frames to your face and head, to make you look like everyone's favorite Italian plumber or other famous Nintendo icons.

Does the Printer Work With Switch Lite?

It does. As long as you have a Switch, a smartphone, the Instax for Nintendo Switch app, and (obviously) the printer, you're good to go. It doesn't matter which model of the Switch you have, you'll still be able to share your captures with the printer and print them off.

Now everybody can boast when they capture that super-rare Mewtwo shiny on Pokemon Go, or the moment they free Princess Peach from the clutches of the evil Bowser (again). Pics or it didn't happen? Pah, no problem!

Now You Can Print Your Pokemon Pics

What do you think? This certainly looks like a fun way to capture your Nintendo Switch memories. The great thing is, once you have a tangible printout of your pics, you can pop them on the wall and add even more color to your gaming collection.
