Are you ever sat binging your favorite Netflix TV show or movie, thinking to yourself "I wish I had some limited edition apparel related to this"? Well, now you can, because Netflix just opened its new web store.

Welcome to Netflix.Shop

Not satisfied with being the most popular SVOD platform out there, Netflix is spreading its wings and entering the world of consumer produce. How? With its new merch store, imaginatively titled Netflix.shop.

It bills the store as "a new way for fans to connect with their favorite stories". So, now as well as watching your favorite characters on Netflix, you can wear them, too. In the figurative sense, of course.

Note that Netflix.shop is currently only available in the US.

What Will the Netflix.Shop Stock?

Speaking in a Netflix.com news post, Josh Simon, Netflix' Vice President of Consumer Products, had this to say:

Netflix.shop will drop exclusive limited editions of carefully selected high-quality apparel and lifestyle products tied to our shows and brand on a regular basis.

In terms of what you can currently buy, he continues:

Among the items debuting this month are streetwear and action figures based on anime series Yasuke and Eden; as well as limited-edition apparel and decorative items inspired by Lupin in collaboration with the Musée du Louvre.

Don't expect to be picking up a bargain, though. Don't forget, this is all limited-run bounty, so you should expect to fork out more than a few dollars if you want to get some merch. Simon goes on to say:

And there’s more ahead. Keep an eye out for exclusive products from beloved titles like The Witcher and Stranger Things, as well as new Netflix logo-wear from Japanese fashion house BEAMS.

Sounds pretty cool. To be fair, the clothing is really nice, and the Yasuke Haruto Clock is pretty cute too.

Is Netflix Branching Out Anywhere Else?

Actually, there is a rumor that Netflix may enter the video game market. Apparently the streaming giant wants to use its nous and come up with a way to bring games to its subscribers.

However, cloud gaming is very much in its infancy and despite early adoption from some big names, it hasn't really taken off... yet. Amazon's Luna project is still in early access testing, and don't even get us started on Google Stadia.

If Netflix gets this right, we could see a new contender for the cloud gaming crown. That all remains for us to see, though.

If you've already had a look at what Netflix.Shop has on offer, then you'll know there is some pretty cool loot on offer. You'll need to be quick, though, limited editions are just that (which is why they also carry a premium price tag).
