MSI is a company known for creating high-end gaming devices. However, the company's latest line of creator-focused laptops is aimed squarely at competing with Apple's beloved MacBook Pro devices. They come with absurd specs that'll easily handle all of the video editing, graphic design, animation, and anything else you could throw at it.

Of course, those specs don't come cheap, and the new Creator Z16 comes with a starting price of $2,599.

MSI's New Creator Laptops

MSI mostly focused its announcement around the Creator Z16, which is the laptop that's most definitely designed to go at the high-end MacBook Pro models.

The Z16 comes with a 120Hz 16:10 touch display with QHD+ resolution. MSI promises that the new laptop will cover 100-percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut. There are two models available, and both come with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 and 32GB of RAM. Depending on which model you go with, you'll be able to choose 1TB or 2TB of storage and a Core i7-11800H or a Core i9-11900H processor.

For any type of content creation, this laptop should have absolutely no problem running the programs efficiently. And if you decide you want to take a break, that NVIDIA 3060 GPU will let you play most modern games with solid graphics.

Further showing that MSI targets the MacBook-loving crowd, the company told The Verge that this laptop features its "best build quality ever."

MSI also has a cheaper model called the Creator M16. It features the QHD+ display, but it only gets a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and an Intel Core i7 processor. MSI didn't announce the price for this model, but it'll definitely be less than the top-of-the-line Creator Z16. The company says this one is targeted at "a more casual creator who wants a more lightweight version of the Creator Z16’s robust offerings."

The third creator-focused laptop is called the Creator 17. MSI didn't reveal very much in the way of details on this one, but it did announce that it comes with a vibrant Mini LED display with 1,000 nits of brightness for a higher color range. It's available with up to a Core i9 and a GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, so it's quite capable.

Get Creative

If you're looking for a computer that can handle anything you throw at it, the MSI Creator Z16 is definitely one to consider. Will it take a bite out of Apple's market share? Only time will tell, but it seems that MSI is putting its best foot forward with these devices.
