At the virtual CES 2021, Mio introduced a new series of GPS devices for cyclists: Cyclo Discover. This series comes with brand new features that can help make your bike ride more exciting and spontaneous.
Bike Down a New Path With the Cyclo Discover Series
The Cyclo Discover Series consists of two devices: the Cyclo Discover and the Cyclo Discover Plus. As you might've guessed, the Cyclo Discover Plus comes with additional features. But despite this, both devices still come with the exciting features that we'll outline below.
The Cyclo Discover and Discover Plus aren't your typical bike navigation devices. While they still clip onto your bike and provide visual guidance en-route, they have a couple of new features, called NeverMiss and Surprise Me, that make them stand out.
You can start off by downloading a route from the MioShare cloud service, allowing you to choose from dozens of other trails biked by fellow cyclists. In case you have your own route in mind, MioShare also lets you easily create your own trail.
Once you've chosen a trail, you can start riding. The built-in NeverMiss feature ensures that you don't speed by something worth stopping for.
Other cyclists can mark certain attractions and scenic views along the trail, and your device will notify you when you're getting close. The notification will also display a QR code for the destination, allowing you to scan it with your phone to learn more about it.
Cyclo Discover devices also come with a new feature fittingly called Suprise Me. This feature is perfect for anyone who wants to embark on a new cycling journey. To get started, press the Surprise Me button on your Cyclo Discover, and then enter a distance or time.
After that, the device will come up with three different routes. You can choose a route, and your Cyclo Discover device will guide you along the path.
It will also display information about the difficulty of the route, as well as any possible slopes that you might encounter. This way, you won't be stuck on a path that is too difficult for you to traverse.

The Cyclo Discover series is only supported in Europe and has navigational information for all 38 countries in Europe.
