I am building a media PC on the cheap and wondering what are the minimum requirements to play HD video without any choppiness or mess ups.

512mb Video Card 1200+/800+, 2.0ghz CPU, 4gb RAM, 500watt power supply. If you Have Highspeed Broadband connection the try for a gigabit connection 100/1000 you will probably then want this to be Direct Cat5e CAT6. Case should not be Plastic If you can help it. < all this for 720p aproximate For 1080P the Video card need to be 1600+/1100+ and the more MB's the Better. Good Luck!!

Pretty much any modern graphics device can play HD files. Although dedicated video cards are much better than the integrated Intel graphics.
