If you want to bring some second-hand embarrassment to your next Christmas family meetup, but you're sick of the same Santa and reindeer-themed sweaters, why not try a Microsoft one instead? The company has released its "Windows Ugly Sweater" for 2020 with a unique theme.

What Is the Windows Ugly Sweater?

Microsoft began this tradition back in 2018 during the festive period. Since then, the company has released a new sweater every year when December comes around.

2018 had a Windows 95 theme, and 2019 went for Windows XP. Now, 2020 changes things up a bit with a fetching MS Paint design.

You can purchase this year's ugly sweater (their words, not ours) over on the Xbox Gear Shop. This year, however, a portion of every sale of this sweater will go to Girls That Code, an organization that aims to fix the inequality for women in the computer science scene.

If you're cursing over the fact that you missed out on the last two sweaters, don't worry. Microsoft has put up every Windows Ugly Sweater on the Xbox Gear Shop as part of the new "Windows Holiday Soft-Wear" range.

If Windows isn't your thing, however, never fret. The trend of creating hideous Christmas-wear has caught on, and there are now online shops dedicated to ugly sweaters.

A No-Sweat Gift Idea for Christmas

If you or someone you love would benefit greatly from a geeky sweater, Microsoft has what you're looking for. The only question is, how are they going to top this in 2021?

Now that the presents are sorted, there's just the small task of organizing literally everything else for Christmas. Fortunately, there are websites to fit every stressful Christmas chore, including free printables and recipes.
