Windows 10 versions come and go on a regular basis. And, as of December 8, 2020, Windows 10 version 1903 is no longer supported.

The end of support applies to all Windows 10 editions and will require you to upgrade to a new version of the operating system.

The end of support applies to all Windows 10 editions, including Home, Pro, Enterprise, and Education. End of support also applies to Windows Server version 1903. The official Microsoft Documentation states:

As of December 8, 2020, all editions of Windows 10, version 1903 and Windows Server, version 1903 have reached end of service. Devices running these editions will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates containing protections from the latest security threats. We recommend that you update these devices to the latest version of Windows 10 immediately.

The end of support for Windows 10 version 1903 follows on closely from the end of support for Windows 10 version 1809.

The end of support dates for Windows 10 versions are normally spaced around six months apart. Microsoft made an exception for Windows version 1809 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, extending its shelf-life by six months from May 2020 to November 2020.

If you do not upgrade manually, Windows 10 will automatically update you to Windows 10 version 1909, the October 2019 update for the operating system. Microsoft has already begun this procedure, and now, with the end of support date here, more users will find their Windows 10 install updating automatically.

Unlike previous updates, jumping from version 1903 to 1909 isn't as major as updating all the way to 2004 or 20H4. However, if you choose to stop at 1909, you should note the end of support for that Windows 10 version arrives in May 2021.
