Microsoft Ignite is kicking off today in an all-new digital format due to COVID-19 restrictions. Ignite is Microsoft's annual developer and IT professional conference, featuring talks from tech luminaries, developers, and professionals talking Microsoft Azure, Windows, Office 365, and more.

The free event is scheduled to last for three days, from 2-4 March, and each day features several interesting talks.

Microsoft Ignite Developer Conference Starts Today

Microsoft Ignite is a three-day event that will be hosted entirely online. Ignite brings together speakers from across Microsoft's vast network of IT professionals, who deliver a series of talks and demos on security, Microsoft products, virtual and mixed reality, apps, data, programming—it's an extensive list of subjects.

Although Microsoft Ignite starts today, you can still sign up and access the event via the Ignite Registration page. Once registered, you can begin filling your schedule with events. The event packs a lot of content into a short period, so Microsoft has made a few suggestions regarding key events.

The Heartbeat of a Modern Work — Tuesday, March 2, 11:30 AM PST

Microsoft advertises this event as a "Windows fireside chat with Panos Panay and Roanne Sones," looking at innovations for commercial customers and the IT community.

Engineer to Engineer — Wednesday, March 3, 4 PM PT

Members of the Microsoft and Windows security and endpoint management team discuss features, capabilities, and "shiny new things" coming to security products. This session also includes a live Q&A segment, so you can ask important questions for your business or organization.

Ask the Experts: Microsoft Edge — Tuesday, March 2, 11:30 AM PT

Wondering what's going on with Microsoft Edge's development? Hoping to find out what the next big Microsoft Edge feature might be? The Microsoft Edge Ask the Experts session is your best chance of finding out as a team of experts the "latest security and productivity innovations" for the browser.
