Recent events have shone a spotlight on the topic of hybrid work, with companies trying to balance work-from-home life with the face-to-face value of meeting in the office. As such, Microsoft is taking the initiative by revealing an event focused on hybrid work.

Microsoft's Announcement for the Future of Work

As caught by The Verge, Microsoft has posted an event on Windows for business scheduled for April 5, 2022.

The details are really sparse, and the description is as such:

Join Panos Panay, Windows Executive Vice President & Chief Product Officer, and dive into the exciting future of hybrid work. Find out how Windows propels the business of our customers forward from the client to the cloud.

Plus, three break-out sessions demo Windows tools for productivity and collaboration, management, and security.

The event should start at 11 am PST, so be sure to mark your calendar if you want to see what Microsoft has in store.

What Might Microsoft Announce in the Event?

Given the lack of details, it's hard to say what Microsoft will show off during the event. There's a good chance that the event will simply be Microsoft showing off its portfolio of existing applications in a bid to inspire businesses to use their services, such as Microsoft Remote Desktop.

However, there is still a chance that Microsoft will use the event to announce a new work program to help with remote work. Unfortunately, we won't know which outcome is the right one until the event starts.

Something Old, or Something New?

Microsoft is planning to announce something for hybrid workers on April 5, 2022, at 11 am PST. As for what we should expect, we'll just have to wait for it to go live to see if the company will announce a new product or use the time to present its current line of products.
