I own a Macbook Pro. I installed Parallels 5.0 so I could install Windows XP on it because Snow Leopard won't run classic software.

I have a Brother MFC 255CW printer, and I have been trying for over a year to print from Windows XP, but I can't get it to work. If I can just get Macbook Pro to run outdated, classic software, that would solve the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Apple, Brother and Parallels hasn't been able to help. Thanks in advance.

Classics support was dropped for all Intel Macs and since Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) for all Macs in general. This means it's dying since June 2006 ~ so you should really think about updating and/or upgrading.Besides, please elaborate what you need classics for?A 1 minute search on the Brother homepage reveals all necessary driversfor Mac OS X 10.5http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/us/us/en/dlf/download_index.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc255cw_all&dlid=&flang=English&os=81&type2=-1and for Mac OS X 10.6http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/us/us/en/dlf/download_index.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc255cw_all&dlid=&flang=English&os=94&type2=-1
