If your loading screen stays the same, it's an internet connection problem, I had a similar problem to this.

If you dont know what software is Press Windows Key + R, type "appwiz.cpl" and look for programs you didnt install or that you dont want and unninstall them, if nothing works try System Restore or Re-installing Skype

You just need to remove Skype from being automatically launched when you log into your computer. This is how you do it:Go to Start -> right in the text box "MSconfig" -> go to the 'Startup' tab -> look for 'Skype' in the list and remove the check box next to it -> click OK and you're done.Good luck

or If you have bluetooth headset... it will allow you to speak with it when using Skype on your computer (instead of using the the computers microphone/speakers or using externally wired micro/speakers)

I’m not sure if this is the case but try to go to Skype -> Tools -> Options -> Advance settings -> Manage other programs access to Skype. If you see there any references to Bluetoothheadsetproxy, try to delete this reference.

You probably have installed a Bluetooth headphone device that conflicts with Skype , remove the driver and you should be ok

try rebooting the PC. it might help you since, you have mentioned a software has locked the skype program. if still there, go to windows task manager ( ctrl + alt + Delete ) and locate the process originated by the "bluetootheheadsetproxy.exe" under the process tab. since this process in non OS you can safely kill the process. ( right click and end the process ) this will help you to start the skype software without any issue.
