I'm using Windows 7. When I receive emails containing links in Firefox 4, the links do not work at all. This was not a problem when I was still using Firefox 3. Can anyone suggest a solution for this problem?

Nothing happens when I click it. It used to work in Firefox 3 like I said. I'm using web-based email. Thanks for all your suggestions.

This is a problem with IE and Windows, not Outlook or Firefox. IE controls the global settings for network connections. (Throughout my explanation, I refer to Outlook; if you have windows 7, its called Windows Live Mail)To reiterate, this is not an Outlook error. The most common cause is a corrupt registry key in Internet Explorer. The registry key found at HKEY_Local_MachineSoftwareClasseshtmlfileshellopencommandis either damaged or corrupt.Steps to fix:Try resetting Web settings in Internet Explorer. If this does not resolve the issue:Set IE as the default browser. After setting IE as default browser, restart computer, open up Outlook and verify the links now work.If so, uninstall Firefox, (you can do a backup of all your extensions and bookmarks, etc using the FEBE extension). Then reinstall Firefox, and set as default browser. Now check links again. If it STILL doesn't work, you need to manually tell windows to use Firefox as your browser:1. Click on Start.2. In the start search, type in Default Programs and hit enter.3. Click on Set your Default Programs.4. Select Mozilla Firefox5. Does it say it has all its defaults?6. If not, click the "Set this as default" 7. Click Save when done.Restart, and check links again, and hopefully this all worked!Sources:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/outlook/thread/417281c7-743e-4a06-8510-db374aebe6abhttp://www.slipstick.com/problems/link_restrict.htmhttp://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/cannot-open-links-in-windows-mail-email-get/6c663806-a66c-4b08-ab31-79061f21226c

If its only a problem with hyperlinks, so you cant click the links you might try this addon for Firefox: http://yellow5.us/firefox/linkification_1.3.9.xpiIt works in Firefox 4 now.

Uh oh, I hope the OP isn't trying to click on text in email that isn't an actual link. [face palm]

Justin,do you use a webmail client in Firefox 4 or a desktop email client? Can you please specify which one? What happens when you click a link in an email? Is there an error message or does it open the link in the wrong browser or does nothing happen at all?
