I have a great tutorial that my Uni provided me, but I don't think I am allowed to publish it.At first, it's quite hard to get your head around it, but once you do, it's actually quite simple.I would open Project 2007, and check out the help menu. There is also a sidebar called Tasks which walks you through the steps required to create a project.

By trying out templates for project management. I've never learned more about managing projects than when I test project management software - and since I love Excel the most for planning, I have to recommend this: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/excel-project-management-tracking-templates/In my opinion you'll learn more from using those templates in a practical way than you could learn from any tutorial. Good luck!
