I want to learn a language to develop my website but I am not sure which language to choose. I want a language that will be helpful in future.

As stated above, start with the most basic which is HTML 5 and CSS. Next, learn about content management platforms such as WordPress and Joomla. After that, learn some scripting, both browser side (e..g Javascript) and server side (e.g. PHP). Next, start with the databases (MySQL) and move on to more complex stuff.Actually, with HTML and CSS knowledge, you can build your first website.

I'm not a web developer,but as far as I know,one needs to have knowledge of many languages.CSS is required for styling of pages,PHP if you want to have a license free development.
