Hi, how are you? I have Webmail Notifier in Firefox, but is there an add-on for Internet Explorer that check for new e-mails?

Also, I noticed some of these worked for Hotmail but not Outlook.com - any suggestions?

In the desktop version I suggested, you can configure multiple emails to be notified by their POP / IMAP and SMTP server settings address.

Interesting, but they're not IE add-ons!

Have you thought about an email notifier such as ePrompter or Mailbell?

First and foremost, just a bit out of context, kindly upgrade to IE10 for Windows 7 which was launched a couple of months ago, as it is far better than IE9 with support for HTML5. The link is http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/ie-10-worldwide-languages . Choose the language and OS that applies for you.Now coming to your question, there are some addons available.A bit dated but should apply to IE9 : http://download.cnet.com/Email-Notifier/3000-12512_4-10597411.htmlList of some more addons : http://en.softonic.com/s/mail-notifier-ie-9However, I personally prefer a desktop application, which can monitor multiple emails as you configure with it : http://www.inbox.com/products/desktop-email-notifier.aspx

I have yet to see an email checker for IE, though I have seen composers.I don't understand why someone would want to use add-ons with IE since it is not the most stable browser in the first place and more plugins tend to make it even more unstable. A better option would be a tool that sits in the notification area to do the job whether a browser is open or not such as Trillian, Digsby and others. They can even handle notifications of updates on your social networks as well.
