Does anyone know how I can get my iPad to show on my Windows 7 laptop? I can't get it to show up on my computer apart from when I go into iTunes. When I go out out of iTunes, it does not show up on my laptop. Can anyone help?

what do you mean by show up? is it like a drive?

You can't. The iPad does not act as a USB device. It's not a user accessible filesystem, like a hard drive - you use iTunes to sync.

There are several programs which you can use to manage and transfer files to and from your iOS device. Some of them are iTunes-like and some present your device as an external hard drive. Try them out, see what you like!http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/http://www.getsharepod.com/http://www.i-funbox.com/http://www.digidna.net/products/diskaidhttp://www.macroplant.com/meta-tunes/http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/http://www.iskysoft.com/syncpod.htmlhttp://www.greatsolutions.com.br/Soft/SoftGreat.htmlhttp://www.ithemesky.com/ispirithttp://www.daniusoft.com/itransfer-for-mac.htmlMy recommendation is Phonebrowse:http://www.imobie.com/phonebrowse/It seems like it best fits the criteria you mentioned and jail breaking is unnecessary.Good luck!

I'm not sure if it is possible to show the ipad as disk but you can manage your ipad with these programs, if you do not want to use iTuneshttp://www.digidna.net/products/diskaidhttp://www.copytrans.net/copytransmanager.php
