I want to know more about the Google's Panda penalty. I've read multiple articles about this algorithm change but I still have doubts regarding the ranking factors of this new algorithm.

My  website was affected by the change and so far it has been impossible to recover my former traffic. The website is an informational one, with original articles, with a length between 400-600 words. I've found my articles copied on by few Indian spammers but is impossible to check all the content for duplicate content.

As soon as Panda was introduced, my traffic was reduced with about 70 percent. I've submitted few DMCA reports and the copied content was deleted. However, I have about 2,500 articles on my site and I am very sure that some spammers are still using my content but is impossible to find them and to ask them to remove my content.

Do you have any tips? Do you have more info about the ranking factors involved in Panda? Do you have any tips about how can I identify the spammers which are using my content?

The more Google insists on making itself a governing factor in interstate commerce, the more likely someone will urge the Congress and the FCC to get involved. You can't really be in the business of actively trying to control markets and not expect to be noticed.

I was in your situation and I know that is very difficult to see how the spammers outrank you with your own content. However, the problem is not determined just by the duplicate / copied content. Usually, the affected websites has multiple problems. Some ranking factors involved in this penalty:1. Thin articles (short, rewritten articles);2. Lack of contact data;3. The tool is working fine and you will find the spammers in few minutes. You must also need to repair the internal problems from your site. So taking those down is only one piece of the puzzle and likely not the only cause for your drop.
