I just bought a VGA switch, and am having a weird problem. On the back, there are two inputs (A and B) and an output. When there is only one input port being used (either one), it works great. But as soon as I put a cable in the other slot, I get a red fuzz/lines on the screen. Remove the cable, it works fine.
What's wrong, is it faulty? What should I do?

Is there a place for power on the switch? I've seen them where they need 5v from a usb to power them

perhaps it is because the resolution did you set it to the max recommended one.

It does sound like it is faulty, I would seek a refund or a replacement. Depending which country you live in, there are laws to protect buyers. If you bought from a reputable seller, they should replace it but private ebayers may not be so kind.
