Follow-up on Richards post: it's illegal in any and all cases
Anyways, the best sources for this are:www.insanelymac.comwww.hackint0sh.orgwww.osx86install.comThere you might get an answer as to where to start your "project". I'm calling it project on purpose because there is way more to it than a bootloader and EFI emulation (to mention one: Chameleon).Even with those "ready to use" DVD distros like (iATKOS, iDeneb, iPC, JaS) you will end up installing it several times until you find a
somewhat
working combination of patches, driver and kernel.Again,
somewhat
is on purpose because sometimes there is one little thing that makes your installation unsatisfying. For me and my Dell Mini 10v using the NetbookInstaller I had to find out that the Wireless-N card I upgraded too wasn't supported, no driver to be found and the display resolution wasn't enough to display dialogs and windows in whole (e.g. System Preferences) ~ very annoying.

OS X can be installed on a P4 (most Intels for that matter with a patched kernel), but it is unethical and illegal in most cases.

Satish, the following doesn't answer your question as it doesn't address whether it can be done on your hardware, however, Jorge has written an article on
