Hello, there was a question similar to yours not long ago. I was with a different graphics card but it still applies to you:http://www.makeuseof.com/answers/install-ati-x1400-graphics-drivers-windows-8/Are your driver/drivers in an executable package? If they are you might want to try and run it in compatibility mode. What you do is the following:-- navigate to where your driver executable is-- right click on the file and select properties-- Click on Compatibility tab-- Check mark where it says run this program in compatibility mode for-- select windows 7-- click on Apply and then ok-- restart computerAlso you might want to try running the installation file as administrator. If your drivers are in an .inf file, the only thing you might be able to do is to install the drivers by looking for them manually

check if your device is enlisted in the supported models for Windows 8 with the latest ATI drivers -- ( http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/GPU119Win8GPUDriverSupport.aspx )and then download the applicable one .or just run the auto detect utility by ATI - ( http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/auto_detect.aspx )it would auto detect your hardware and then download the applicable software suite and the drivers for it ..
