Insta360 has just announced the new Insta360 One X2 360 degree camera and it's honestly absurd how much this little camera can do. It comes with features that can actually replace an entire camera crew. As it that wasn't cool enough, it records in an absurdly high resolution, can handle water and take a beating, and much more.

Insta360 One X2 Camera Features and Specs

The main thing that makes the Insta360 One X2 stand out is the fact that it can record 5.7K 360 videos. That'll make for some incredibly gorgeous videos.

From a hardware perspective, that would be enough to make this camera worth buying, but it's when you dig into the software that you actually see what this thing is capable of. It comes with AI-powered features that will automatically help you find and edit your best shots in just a few taps. Capturing footage that would normally only be possible with an entire crew or a drone is cool, but choosing the good shots and angles automatically is next level.

If you don't need 360-degree footage, the camera also has a mode called Steady Cam. With this, it switches to just one of the lenses to create ultra-stable, ultra-wide footage. For more traditional shooting situations, this is really cool option to have.

There are even tracking features that'll keep you centered in the shot at all times. The Deep Tracking feature can keep animals, people, or other moving objects locked in the center of the frame no matter how much they're moving around.

To support the video, the Insta360 One X2 comes with four microphones that can be used in two different ways. First, you can use all four to get a multi-directional audio experience. Alternatively, you can get a stereo audio feed with the extra mics serving as wind reducers.

The list of features really does keep going with the Insta360 One X2. There's low-light shooting, IPX8 waterproofing, a 360 touch display, an InstaPano photo mode for capturing massive still images, and a feature called MultiView that lets you show two angles at once with different fields of view.

If you're the kind of person who likes to make fairly complicated videos by yourself, this camera is a no-brainer. No longer will you need to grab a friend to record for you. Instead, you can just use the Insta360 ONE X2 and get the shots you need.
