I purchased a software when XP was the most evolved operating system from Microsoft. The two keys that came with it, when clicked upon, automatically generated the registration of the product.

In Windows 7, this does not occur. How do I insert such registry keys into the computer's registry? I can, and have, opened the two keys via notepad. I can copy and paste if need be.
