I am using windows 8. Nowadays it takes too much time than normal to start up and shut down. Why this problem occurs and how to recover this?
Am using Intel i3 =3120M 2.5GHZ and 4gb Ram.

In the search box (or press the Windows key + R key on the keyboard) and you're in "msconfig.exe" and press Enter. This will bring up the list of startup programs that you can choose to disable, delay start, or reenable. Common programs that delay startup would be iTunes, antivirus and security software, and Windows background services. If you do not know what the program is for, Google search it.
