If recent years have taught us anything, it's not to take natural resources for granted, especially water. As global temperatures rise, obtaining clean drinking water will become more demanding and more expensive. We also tend to overuse water around the house, pouring otherwise adequate water straight down the drain.
To combat this challenge, Hydraloop has released several household water recycling units. The company took to the virtual CES 2021 floor to announce the Hydraloop H600, a device suitable for larger families or small businesses.
What Is the Hydraloop H600?
When we run water in our homes, much of it remains unused but continues down the drain. There is often little we can do about this. Likewise, our home appliances and bathroom equipment, like showers and taps, send clean or mildly dirty, so-called gray water into the sewage.
The Hydraloop H600 is a water recycling unit capable of storing and cleaning 600 liters of water. Once the process is complete, the water is ready to put to a second use. In doing so, the company estimates that you can reuse up to 85 percent of all in-house water.
The H600 can clean up to 1,000 liters per day, so you could fill the tank, reuse the water, and half fill it again for reuse within 24 hours. The machine can accept inputs from showers, baths, air-conditioning units, and washing machines.
Hydraloop H600 Features
The H600 has two output valves capable of sending the recycled water to the toilet or washing machine. The recycling unit is available in a Stone color, although the H600 Premium comes in Stone, Chili, and Dew variants.
There are add-ons for the H600, including outputs for the garden and pool. It's estimated that the unit consumes around 350kWh of power per year and has a noise level of 46dB.
The Hydraloop H600 also has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. Once attached to your network, you can use the Hydraloop smartphone app to monitor your machine's status, request remote support, and install over-the-air updates.

The Hydraloop H600 is available to purchase from the company directly. Unfortunately, it's not as straightforward as filling in a few fields; you need to talk to a staff member about your requirements. As each installation is personalized, there's no advertised price for the Hydraloop H600. Instead, the company states that prices for its water recycling units start from $4,000.
