Clubhouse has launched Payments, a new monetization feature where you can send money to your favorite creators through the app.

Clubhouse has now joined the likes of Twitter in adding a Payments feature that allows you to tip creators through third-party apps. And the benefits for influencers are that they can generate additional income to invest back into their content.
But Payments isn't the only way that Clubhouse is helping creators make money on the app. The social media app also has a creator program.
Launched In March 2020, the creator program aims to equip them with the skills needed to grow their following—and subsequently monetize their accounts.
A Few Things to Note Before Making Payments on Clubhouse
When using the Payments feature on Clubhouse, you'll need to be aware of two things. These are listed below:
1. Clubhouse Processes Payments Through Stripe
When you send money to a creator, you will notice a small charge for a card processing fee. This will go directly to Stripe, Clubhouse's payment processing partner.
2. Clubhouse Will Not Take a Cut From Your Payment
Unlike other social media platforms, the company will not take a percentage of your payments. When you send money to a creator, they will receive 100 percent of your payment.
How to Send Money to a Content Creator on Clubhouse
Clubhouse gives you a selection of standard options, which start from $5. However, you can also manually set the amount you're comfortable with sending.
Sending money on Clubhouse is easy and takes three simple steps. Here’s how it works:
- Tap on the profile of the creator you want to pay, and ensure that they have the feature enabled.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Give Money.
- Enter the amount you would like to send them. The first time you do this, you’ll be asked to provide your credit or debit card details. Once you've done this, they'll receive the payment.
