Need to send a gift to someone but don’t know their address? Amazon has a new feature to help you with that! You can now send someone a gift using their phone number or email address instead of their mailing address.

For the time being, this feature is only available to Amazon Prime members and can only be used when browsing Amazon from a mobile device. The recipient’s delivery address must also be in the continental United States.

How to Send an Amazon Gift Without the Delivery Address

If you want to send someone a gift from Amazon, you can use their phone number or email address to do so. Just follow these instructions:

  1. Pick out a gift and add your selected items to your cart using the Amazon app.
  2. Go to the checkout and check the Add a gift receipt for easy returns box.
  3. Continue to the shipping address selection screen and choose the Let the recipient provide their address option.
  4. Tap Continue to go to the gift options screen.
  5. Enter the recipient’s email or phone number and enter a gift message if desired.
  6. Enter your payment information and place your order.

Once your gift order has been processed, the recipient will receive a text or email with your personalized message and the gift that you selected. They can then accept the gift and provide their delivery address for shipping. They also have the option to exchange the selected gift for an Amazon gift card.
