You'll find a comprehensive explanation at http://www.wintips.org/remove-tuvaro-search-toolbar/ . I would also recommend running the free Malwarebytes Antimalware at the end of the process to ensure your PC is clean.

Here are several sites with suggested ways to remove the toolbar, extension, and search within the different browsers including Chrome: http://www.wintips.org/remove-tuvaro-search-toolbar/, http://malwaretips.com/blogs/tuvaro-toolbar-virus/, and http://deletemalware.blogspot.com/2013/05/remove-tuvaro-removal-instructions.html.You have to uninstall the Tuvaro Toolbar, Tuvaro Chrome Toolbar, and Browser Protect (I'd use Revo Uninstaller or IOBit Uninstaller), then try to remove the extension in Chrome. Also, go into Manage Search Engines and delete anything associated to Tuvaro search. Next, change the default page that Chrome opens to from Tuvaro to whatever webpage you prefer. Use CCleaner or similar program to clean any remnants of Tuvaro search. Scan with an antivirus program or Malwarebytes AntiMalware to remove the registry items related to Tuvaro, and this should take care of it.

You are welcome, and thanks for the response. It seems that you are correct that this toolbar and search provider is not exactly malware, but more or less "badware". I say this because it hijacks your browsers, changes the search settings and the homepage your browsers open to, but the company offers help on removing their product. This is becoming more common with installation of downloaded software as this is a big way the companies make their money. As annoying as it is, I cannot say that it is a virus, spyware, or malware. Crapware much like Bing Search (sorry, I can't bring myself to find anything to like about Bing) is more like it. Anyways, I hope you get this sorted out and fixed.
