How to minimize task burden on a mobile processor so that it works optimally?
The device in question is an Android tablet with 800 MHz single core processor.

Download ES File Explorer Pro ($Free). It is the best Android file manager I have seen and serves as a media player, picture viewer, app manager, and SD card and process analyst. Shut down/uninstall any programs that have persistent processes. They hog memory and keep your CPU running constantly, slowing down your phone and wasting battery life.

kill unnecessary apps for that you can use "advanced task killer" it even kills the apps periodically as the time you specify .

1) Disable all animations (live wallpapers, window animations, drawer open/close animations, every one you can find)2) Do not install applications that almost take the life out of the processor. Like trying to run 3D games on the 800MHz tablet.3) Keep installed apps at minimum.Apart from these Android is designed to self eliminate background or previous tasks when being burdened. If rooted, depending on the device, you might be able to limit those background processes as well.

Use an App Manager.

Use as little widgets and application shortcuts as possible in your launcher screens, use a mild task killer like Advanced Task Killer, making sure to let it ignore necessary processes like Google services, do not overload the device with applications, and make sure not to use live wallpapers. Services that are not necessary to be on, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS, when not in use should be turned off until necessary. Internet browsers such as Maxthon or Lightning would be suggested for better performing browsing experience, though Firefox would be good for better compatibility with more websites should there be a need. Also, putting the phone in airplane mode so it turns off phone and data services (some devices still list some phone functions) will help some along with extending the battery life a little (if using the data function through SIM or 3G dongle, turn airplane mode off when connecting to data). If you can, disable some of the unused system apps in the Manage Apps (or Application Manager) setting.

you load less processus/services that requires background activity, you use applications that are not power hungry
