Please tell what are the ways in which one can minimise hazards of radiation exposure with mobile phone use?

Can wired earphones help? Can Bluetooth earphones help? Does data access on phones also expose to radiation? So what are myths and facts regarding radiation exposure?

Yes there are certainly ways to minimize. Many experts suggest using what is called the "Precautionary Principle"Here are some suggestions taken from tawkon.com, an android application that alerts you when mobile phone radiation spikes and gives suggestions on how to minimize them (such as following one of the suggestions below):The Precautionary Principle is a collection of tips to reduce radiation exposure from cellular phones:Use cell phones that emit lower radiation (low SAR)Limit the duration and proximity of exposure to cell phoneUse a headset, Bluetooth earpiece, or speakerphoneFind alternatives to cell phone use, such as text messaging or using a landlineLimit use of cell phone while it is searching for signal (cell phones emit higher levels of radiation at these times)Carry your cell phone at least an inch away from your body or regularly rotate it around the bodyDo not sleep next to your cell phone while it is onAvoid work areas that use wireless networks and wireless phones if possibleLimit use of cell phone by young childrenFind out more www.facebook.com/tawkon www.twitter.com/tawkon

Do mobile phones really have radiation hazards? Though I guess newspaper reports state that more than one hour of daily use should be avoided. I don't think this has been proved conclusively yet if there are any such hazards from using mobiles.

Yes, wired and Bluetooth earphones do help a lot.

Is wired safer than bluetooth earphone?

OKAY! Where do I start. phones don't give off enough radiation to actually do damage to the human being...nor a small animal lets say a rodent. That is because he people who created mobile phones went something along the lines of "we don't want people getting cancer from our products" basically the hole radiation doing damage via cell phones is a ruse to get people to spend more money on expensive, unnecessary machinery. However if you really are THAT paranoid and don't believe the what everyone is saying here's a website to make you feel better. http://www.cellsafe.com.au/?gclid=CLm-kLXrmLQCFZBYpgodngEA-w

Cellphones emit the most radiation when they have a weak signal because the phone is working harder to get a signal to the tower. Experts advise staying off the phone until the signal is stronger.Wireless technology operates using the microwave (electromagnetic) frequency spectrum at a range typically varying from 0.24 to 1.8 GHz. For reference’s sake, microwave ovens operate at 2.45 GHz, while radio waves use a lower frequency range. The human body absorbs these frequencies when found near devices emitting them. The amount of energy taken in by human tissue is counted in Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) units, i.e. in watts per kilogram of bodily weight. In the case of Bluetooth radiation it is called Bluetooth SAR.Put simply, bluetooth headsets could possible protect against cell phone radiation.Bluetooth radiation is significantly lower than the one emitted by mobile phones. In fact, a Bluetooth headset works at the 0.24 to 0.25 GHz frequency range, while a typical cell phone wavers from 0.9 to 1.8 GHz. Furthermore, the SAR levels emitted by most cells phones (and absorbed by the human body) are between 0.8 and 1.4 watts per kg.http://cellphonesradiations.com/bluetooth-radiation-2/bluetooth-radiation-to-wear-or-not-to-wearCell phone radiation levelshttp://reviews.cnet.com/cell-phone-radiation-levels/Buying a phone with a lower SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) may make you feel more comfortable, but there's no guarantee that it is inherently safer. Also, during a call the phone may never reach the listed SAR and the SAR can change constantly depending on several factors.Bluetooth wireless earpieces will expose you to some radiation. However, it would be much less radiation than a cell phone. The problem is that most people wear their Bluetooth all the time. And this isn’t a good look on anyone. If you use a Bluetooth device, switch it from ear to ear so you don't have too much exposure on one side. Just take it out of your ear when you aren't on the phone.http://thechart.blogs.cnn.com/2011/05/31/6-tips-for-minimizing-cell-phone-radiation/

This is seriously the biggest myth in the world. Mobile phone and smartphone devices are not dangerous in any way to Humans because, in fact, everyone lives in a big spectrum of magnetic waves, even if you don't own a cell phone you are in the range a lot of magnetic waves of different frequencies and power rates. You are in a cell tower range which emit more waves than what your cell phone would be. You use WiFi and Bluetooth or are in the range of one, you use the microwave oven, you use light bulbs (especially fluorescent) you are exposed to Sun everyday, you use satellite TV and local FM radio. So all this is electromagnetic radiation, but there's is no potential harm to your body because your body isn't oscillated to receive any of them. Even the Human brain is oscillated at 10 Hz which isn't used in any technological device, so there is really no interference between you and electronic devices. Be safe.

Do not sleep with it beside your head. If your cellphone is in airplane mode during bed time you will sleep better. Put all technology with wireless technology into airplane mode or completely power it off. Wireless technology means anything from bluetooth, 3g/4g, or anything that transmits a radiowave.

the radiation is there whether you use a cell or not, other peoples cells and masts are only a few sources of radiation. microwaves and other appliances such as wifi also use a very similar band and should therefor also be considered.

you mean wireless routers emit harmful radiation?

what im saying that if phones emit harmful radiation then wifi routers are at least as bad. and i haven't started on microwaves.

you cant avoid or minimize them completely but prevent from keeping them close to your important organs such as the brain and the heart.

There's no scientific study suggesting this is a problem to begin with. Radio waves are all around us, constantly, and there's nothing you can do with your cell phone to stop that. The only danger with using your cell phone is walking into traffic because you're not paying attention and/or missing out on life itself because you're too busy tweeting.

Very simple to avoid radiation hazards are:Use Cell Phones only when you need it do not use it unnecessary.Try to avoid voice call by SMS wherever possible.Don't Keep your cell phone near your heart.

Probably the best comment. As it may have stated on your Cell Phone Manual (if you got one and care to read it), mobile phones are made to follow strict Radiation standards. Anyways, even if its not, you'll not die because of it. Its your choice- Either use a cell phone and live with radiation or don't use it at all.
