Bluetooth trackers help you locate your lost keys, wallet, remote, or other items. They're small, usually between the size of a quarter and a credit card, and use battery power.

Trackers Are Convenient and Easy to Use

There are some great tracker options with many helpful uses. If you have kids, your TV remote control may consistently be lost. Every time you feel like watching TV, you'll have to look for your remote first. You could affix a tracker to your remote using packing tape. It may not look pretty, but it will be smart, functional, and convenient.

Your tracker app will send a Bluetooth signal from your smartphone to the tracker. The tracker will ring until you locate it and press its button, or tap a button on the companion app.

Linking Your Tile Tracker With Alexa

You also can link your tracker to Amazon's Alexa so that locating it is just a voice request away. We'll use the Tile tracker as an example and the Amazon Alexa app for iOS or Android.

  1. Download your tracker app.
  2. Set up your tracker app account.
  3. Open the Alexa app and select Devices.
  4. Tap the plus sign + in the upper right corner.
  5. Tap Add Device.
  1. At the Which device would you like to set up screen, scroll down and tap Tracker.
  2. At the What brand is your tracker screen, tap your tracker manufacturer name.
  3. At the Connect your Tile Tracker to Alexa screen, tap DISCOVER DEVICES.
  4. Alexa will look for devices on your network to connect.
  5. Once Alexa locates your tracker, tap SET UP DEVICE.
  6. You may be prompted to allow location and device address access.
  7. Alexa has linked to your device.
  8. Tap DONE.

All you'll need to do is say "Alexa, find my remote,” which is easier than using the app. Alexa will ask if you'd like the tracker to ring. Your tracker will ring until you locate it.

Make Finding Your Lost Items Easy

Trackers can help you spend your time doing the things you enjoy. When you link your tracker with Alexa, you may never again need to search through your couch cushions before watching your favorite TV show.
